Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you register or sign in, we collect your name and email address. Authentication uses one-time passcodes (OTP) sent by email — we do not store Hub passwords.

Server configuration

When you add servers to your fleet, we store connection details you provide, such as hostnames, IP addresses, ports, dashboard URLs, tags, and per-server API keys and enrollment tokens used to connect agents to Hub.

Monitoring data

Sentinel agents collect operational data from servers you monitor, including CPU, memory, disk, network metrics, open ports, active connections, process names, storage summaries, and security alerts. This data is transmitted to Hub to display your fleet dashboard and may be cached temporarily for polling or push updates.

Technical logs

Our web servers may record standard access logs (IP address, browser type, requested URLs, timestamps) for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.

2. How we use your information

• Provide Hub login, fleet monitoring, alerts, and server management features
• Send OTP and service-related email messages
• Secure the platform, detect misuse, and maintain service reliability
• Improve Sentinel functionality based on aggregated operational patterns

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party advertising trackers on the Sentinel application.

3. How we protect your data

• Encryption in transit: HTTPS (TLS) is enforced on sentinel.nodesllc.com
• Passwordless Hub auth: email OTP with short expiry instead of reusable passwords
• Agent access control: each agent dashboard requires its own access key
• Credential masking: API keys are masked in fleet views; full keys are shown only to the authenticated account owner
• Push enrollment: private servers can connect outbound to Hub without opening inbound firewall ports
• Account isolation: your servers and monitoring data are scoped to your Hub user account

No system is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping enrollment files, agent access keys, and Hub session tokens confidential.

4. Data retention

• OTP codes expire within minutes and are marked used after verification
• Hub session tokens expire according to Hub configuration (default 24 hours)
• Agent historical metrics on each server are retained for a limited window (default 72 hours) then purged
• Server records and account data remain until you delete them or request account removal

5. Sharing and subprocessors

We do not share personal data with third parties for marketing. We may use infrastructure providers (hosting, email delivery) strictly to operate the service. Monitoring data stays within the Sentinel system unless you explicitly export or share it.

OTP emails are sent through our configured SMTP provider solely to deliver login codes to you.

6. Your rights and choices

You may:

• Remove servers from your Hub account at any time
• Regenerate enrollment tokens and agent API keys if credentials are exposed
• Stop using the service and request account deletion
• Contact us to access, correct, or delete account information where applicable by law

7. International users

Sentinel is operated by Nodes LLC. If you access the service from outside the United States, you understand that data may be processed on servers located where we host the platform.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of Sentinel after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
